• Used to hold a short bit chip in place. Compulsory when using a Short Bit Chip or Metal Bit Chip.

• Designed to protect the Bit Sticker from damage.

• May be used by itself without a Bit Chip if desired.

• With a Metal Bit Chip it makes up part of the heaviest Bit Chip configuration available.

• Has a propensity to pop out on one side after strong hits and send the bit chip inside flying, which was part of the move to Long Bit Chips (which also reduce production cost). Some are more resilient than others, and these tend to be heavier, though there is little visible difference. The whole setup still suffers from the retainer tabs on the AR breaking however, limiting usefulness (or at least reliability).
