Dragoon Grip Attacker

  • AKA: Grip Attacker (Hasbro), DGA, GA

Attack Ring: Dragon Head

Weight: 2.6g

    • Right Spin Only.

    • Limited range makes it largely useless for attack.

    • Angles are quite good but contact points a little flat, resulting in some recoil.

    • Nonetheless, among 4-layer system ARs it is one of the better offensive choices as the angles are effective enough to give decent power despite its small size.

    • A second-tier choice for Compacts, providing a much more aggressive approach, however the recoil issues severely hurt the defense and survival aspects that make these combinations so potent - for this purpose even Panther Head is a better choice.

    • Can be used for Right-Spin Spin-Stealing on Wide Survivor due to its contact points being protected by the Weight Disk, however as soon as the Beyblade tilts the recoil starts to become an issue. It can also not be used effectively with Wide Defense due to that Weight Disk being too small in diameter to cover the contact points.

    • Fragile due to thin design.

    • No competitive use, but not awful.

Weight Disk: Wide

Weight: 12.7g

  • Light weight with fairly average width and a much more central weight distribution than its successors, notably being heavier than Eight Wide.

  • Shape causes recoil given its size, which is concerning given its relatively light weight.

  • Weight distribution does little for any given combination, with Ten Balance being a better choice for the more "average" weight distribution it offers.

  • Heavily outclassed and almost entirely useless.

Blade Base: Grip Base

Weight: 6.9g

    • Right Spin only

    • Very fast – incredibly fast while tornado stalling (though this burns through stamina at an insane rate and is generally useless given its light weight)

    • Not that hard to flower pattern.

    • Short height means it struggles against Circle Survivor Defense but can be more effective against Compact combinations than taller offensive Blade Bases.

    • As it wears it does become less aggressive but generally maintains this well.

    • Decent recoil control, though its light weight does limit it here.

    • Stamina is better than Defense Grip Base (Tip Inverted) and SG Grip Change Base Tip, but not as good as Customize Grip Base Tip.

    • Can outspin Defense Grip Base (Normal Mode) sometimes, but not consistently.

    • One of the better Attack-type Blade Bases thanks to speed and grip, though recoil control could be a little better.

Overall

  • A good buy, thanks to the Base. Lack of Left Spin is a shame, but that doesn't detract from how good the part is. However, Seaborg may be a better purchase as Defense Grip Base is much more versatile.
