Draciel V2 (Hasbro Magnacore Version)

  • AKA: Draciel Viper 2 (Full Name)

  • Hasbro release of Draciel V2 with a Magnecore SG added as part of the Magnacore line.

Attack Ring: Strike Turtle

Weight: 4.8g

Right Spin:

    • Some Smash in this direction from the ends of the various segments of the AR, though the rounded shape of these limits their efficacy and the most exposed contact points at the end of these aren't very well angled, creating some recoil.

    • Too much recoil for Defense or Stamina in this direction.

    • Overall a slightly above average Smash AR but not competitive by any means. Nonetheless one of the better main-line Draciel ARs by merit of having anything even vaguely resembling usability.

Left Spin:

    • Still has some Smash Attack with one somewhat sharper contact point on the leading edge in this direction.

    • Less Smash than Right Spin however, and still too much recoil for Defense or Stamina

    • Overall not useful in this spin direction.

Weight Disk: Ten Heavy

Weight: 16.1g

  • Heaviest legal Weight Disk.

  • Compact size and weight distribution makes it excellent defensively but not useful for Attack

  • Excellent for sustaining RPM – helps with defense, grinding, force smash, upper, and also defending against the last three.

  • Primary choice for Compacts, Traditional Upper Attack, Weight Defense, Circle Survivor Defense, and a competitive choice for Force Smash and Driger V2 combos.

  • With faster Attack Blade Bases (i.e. Defense Grip Base (Tip Inverted) and SG Grip Change Base Tip setups), Ten Heavy can be used without loss of speed, and its high weight becomes quite useful with Attack Rings such as Square Edge and Hayate Attack Ring, improving their rotational Smash characteristics however the reduction to the flywheel effect otherwise provided by Wide Defense or Ten Wide tends to result in more recoil KOs. It is nonetheless an acceptable option.

  • Overall a very versatile Weight Disk and a must-have part, outclassing both Heavy and Eight Heavy in all aspects, as well as being generally superior to Heavy Attack.

Spin Gear: Neo Right Spin Gear (North Magnecore)

Spin Gear Shells: Neo Right Spin Gear Shells

Weight: 1.15g ea (total 2.3g)

  • Generally preferred to regular Right shells due to being compatible with all SG-Compatible bases, in particular for being compatible with Neo SG Cores and the Heavy Metal Core.

  • This means they are a necessity for Compacts, Weight Based Defense, Force Smash, Traditional Upper Attack and Driger V2 Combinations, at least aside from the rare occasions Left Spin is desired for one of these types, in which case Neo Left Shells are preferred.

  • Overall a crucial competitive part, but thankfully exceedingly common.

Spin Gear Core: North Magnecore

Weight: 3.3g

  • Only compatible with Neo Shells.

  • Magnet polarity has little impact outside of Magnecore Stadia.

  • Only real effect is when using a magnetized tip (Magne Flat Base Tip and Customize Grip Base Tip , which repel North Magnecores) or Magne Weight Disk (which can be flipped over as needed anyway), and even here the effect on performance is negligible, it just makes assembly slightly more difficult and puts a bit more strain on the Base Clips.

  • Only real effect is weight: not as overwhelmingly heavy as a Heavy Metal Core, yet with enough weight to help a little with recoil, Magnecores tend to be a decent choice if trying to control recoil on Attack types, with Heavy Metal Cores generally slowing the Beyblade down too much on some Bases. That said, this is generally a last resort outside of SG Metal Flat Base (Gaia Dragoon V Version), where it is often around the right weight for a good balance of recoil control and movement speed.

  • Defensively, it is outclassed by the significantly heavier Heavy Metal Core, however it is the next best thing, and still works okay for Defense/Compacts, albeit not nearly as well as an HMC due to the significant difference in weight

  • In Magne Stadia, North Cores are intended to be defensive (attracted to magnets in Magnecore stadia, thus staying in place).

Support Parts: Fin Tector

Weight: 1.05g each

  • Aggressive, Two-Part SP, can be flipped for attack or "defense", or more accurately "lots of recoil and a little attack" and "just the recoil"

  • Can be oriented to cover or uncover the Base Clips, allowing four possible orientations, generally it is more practical to cover them if only to prevent disassembly.

  • Heavy recoil in attack mode which means despite being previously touted as the best Attack SP, they are more of a hindrance than anything else. They're also fragile when used for attack.

  • Attack Rings already serve to attack so SP focusing entirely on attack are redundant, you are better off using something that adds weight to the outer edge of the Beyblade (Cross Survivor, Twin Guard, Survivor Ring) or has good synergy with the AR (Upper Attack, Defense Ring) or good LAD.

  • Defense mode has very well rounded performance in that it is truly awful for Attack, Defense AND Stamina

  • Not a useful part.

Weight: 6.3g

  • Small metal balls which can be switched from centre to further out, on hinges which come loose over time.

  • The outward position is intended to be better for balance, and the inward for rotational velocity. Over time they get kind of stuck due to the loose hinges, so the gimmick stops really existing.

  • Flat platform on pole which ends in a tall, wide ball tip

  • Extremely prone to low attackers

  • Tip skips the tornado ridge easily resulting in poor defense, it has poor balance and thus poor stamina, and isn't aggressive enough for attack.

  • Not a useful part.

Overall

  • Despite being the first main-line Draciel to have a remotely usable AR, Draciel V2 is unique amongst the V2 series in that none of its unique parts are competitive - a total waste of a release, unfortunately - even with the arguably more useful SG Core in the Magnacore release. Not worth buying.
