Weight: 7.4g
Large, aggressive AR.
Has slopes for Upper Attack/Upward Smash and a square, angular shape which provides Smash Attack.
Right Spin:
Hits very hard with Smash Attack despite its best contact points (the wing tips) not appearing to be all that well exposed or angled, they do protrude far enough to deliver effective hits.
Has a large amount of recoil – can be used on grip base but heavy opponents are a big problem, and generally the recoil makes this quite risky. The lower height does help with utilising the slopes of the attack ring more effectively however.
Has fairly strong Upper Attack and a good amount of Upward Smash, making it a competitive Traditional Upper Attack AR.
Overall a more aggressive, smash-focused Whale Crusher, with enough power to make up for the recoil.
Left Spin:
Less powerful Smash Attack than in Right Spin due to the lack of well exposed contact points. As such, it is not worthwhile for Smash Attack in this direction.
Still has fairly strong Upper Attack and a good amount of Upward Smash, making it a competitive Traditional Upper Attack AR.
Overall a respectable part for Upper Attack.
Weight: 15.0g
Decent weight, with a compact yet edge-focussed distribution which makes for good all-around performance.
Thanks to the additional weight, the weight distribution provides a good mix of RPM maintenance/grinding and overall survival ability.
Generally outclassed by Wide Defense unless a more compact weight distribution is required. This is most noticeable in Compacts and Semi-Flat Base Stamina, where the compact weight distribution helps their stability and grinding ability while providing a little extra survival over mode compact options. However for compacts, the greater weight of Ten Heavy is generally preferred.
Overall a good part.
SonoKong G-Blade Mold (as opposed to their earlier mold) is generally very similar to the regular mold, meaning it can be used interchangeably.
Weight: 6.7g
A regular right-spin Engine Gear that uses Customize Engine Weights
The engine gear gimmick does very little of use - if it activates early it breaks flower pattern and sometimes self-KO's, if it activates late it causes major instability in most cases, and in the case of Attack Types where it can cause a late game burst of movement (albeit usually an ineffectual one), it lacks a suitable tip to work with.
You're usually better off not winding the SG, rendering it an excessively tall combo, prone to attacks from lower attackers and struggling to hit anything without using an overhanging AR such as Triple Tiger.
Sadly, the only rubber tipped CEW, Metal Grip, is quite slow without the speed of Left Engine Gear (Turbo), and the only Engine Gear tip that was actually decent for Attack, Right Engine Gear (Metal Flat), was never made into a CEW, rendering any offensive usage moot.
Weight: 7.9g
Engine Gear compatible Blade Base with Final Clutch.
The heaviest Final Clutch Base and second heaviest EG Base overall after First Clutch Base (Zeus Version), with relatively edge-focused weight distribution and an okay if slightly recoil prone side profile.
Despite the weight, it is not useful with Circle Survivor as its details scrape slightly and its edges have recoil when hit, making the combination much more vulnerable to being thrown off balance and outspun by opponents using Customize Grip Base for example.
Clutch activates late in the battle, on most combinations this is an issue leading to instability or just not very useful as the overall RPM has dropped too far to effectively KO, but for this particular Blade Base as well as Final Clutch Base (Gaia Dragoon G Version), this has notable use.
Most notably, alongside Final Clutch Base (Gaia Dragoon G Version), this Blade Base is one of two which work with Right Engine Gear (Metal Flat) to create strong Life After Death properties due to post-topple firing of the Engine Gear and the overall shape of the Blade Base
Compared to Final Clutch Base (Gaia Dragoon G Version), tends to be slightly better due to heavier weight and an overall better shape, but is also generally not worth the overinflated cost of upgrading to, given that Base comes alongside the EG required to make either viable and Dranzer G suffers from an extremely severe case of Kai Tax (the phenomenon where people will pay and charge ungodly amounts of money for anything associated with Bakuten Shoot's resident Edgy 00's Antihero) while the other releases of this Blade Base are rare Hasbro exclusives.
While it has found use, it was disappointingly the first Dranzer Blade Base aside from the questionably included Frostic Dranzer not to feature a gimmick (aside from those inherent to the Engine Gear System - and it only includes a generic engine gear in its original release as well).
Overall a good part and technically optimal, but often not worth the price.
Weight: 3.6g
Slightly more of a Semi-Flat tip than the Engine Gear tip it is based on, as it actually has bevelled edges
Too aggressive for survival customs and not able to take hits well enough for defensive ones.
The fact Engine Gears are so tall, combined with the poor grip and limited speed and aggression of the tip limits usefulness for Attack type customisations.
Overall, not a useful part.
Overall
While Appolon G's Attack Ring is very competitive, there are other Attack Rings that are at least as good and much easier to obtain, and even though it has a fairly useful weight disk in Ten Balance, so do many superior Beyblades. The Blade Base is good, but generally poor value. Overall, while it is not a bad Beyblade, Appolon G is very much only for Attack fanatics with the parts required to use it effectively, and can generally be considered a collection-only Beyblade given the extreme prices it goes for.
