Reverse Wolf (Hasbro)

Hasbro's modified version of Reverse Wolf.

Weight: 3.8g

  • Small, mostly round-edged 4-sided AR with contact points facing counter-clockwise, with an even, compact perimeter allowing for excellent spin stealing and defensive properties - perhaps the single best change Hasbro have made to a part, yet somehow not the one that the community focussed on in this release.

Right Spin:

  • While higher recoil than left spin, the smooth perimeter and compact size match excellently with Wide Survivor and Wide Defense, and combined with a well-balanced distribution make for an effective spin-stealing part in this direction.

  • The wolf heads do still suffer some recoil, making use for defense and compacts which use Ten Heavy in this direction riskier, but it remains a competitively viable option with some offensive power, sitting around the low to middle of the top tier of choices.

  • Overall similar performance to Tiger Defenser in Left Spin, albeit with slightly worse weight distribution and therefore slightly worse stamina.

Left Spin:

  • Compact with decently angled low-ish recoil contact points in this direction

  • Lower recoil in this direction makes it an excellent choice for Zombies (especially more aggressive variants), Defensive Zombies, Compacts, Grip and Weight Defense, though the somewhat fragile design is worth being wary of, this can mostly be compensated for with Wide Defense or Wide Survivor.

  • Overall similar performance to Tiger Defenser in Right Spin, albeit with slightly worse weight distribution and therefore slightly worse stamina.

  • Notable for being the only viable Compact AR with conventional, usable contact points in Left Spin, which can make it a good choice for compacts using Neo Left SG (Heavy Metal Core) and Wide Defense. Conventional compacts however usually prefer to be in Right Spin so that they can grind down tourney filler (which tends to be overwhelmingly right spin) rather than ending up in spin-stealing battles unsuited to their compact distribution.
